Gyeongju Bird Park (경주 버드파크)
This hands-on attraction allows visitors to step inside spacious aviaries, where they can feed and observe tropical birds like parrots up close. Birds may even perch on your shoulder or arm, offering delightful and memorable experience. And since it’s indoors, you can enjoy the activity comfortably in any weather, all year round.
Gyeongju World (경주월드 어뮤즈먼트)
This flagship amusement park in Gyeongju features a wide variety of rides, including “Draken,” a roller coaster renowned for its 90-degree vertical drop—often considered the scariest in Korea. The park transforms with the seasons, offering a water park in summer and a sledding hill in winter.
Bomun Tourist Complex (경주 보문관광단지)
This expansive tourist complex is centered around Bomunho Lake, a large artificial lake on the outskirts of Gyeongju. It offers a wide range of leisure and relaxation facilities, including walking trails, bike paths, resorts, and golf courses. In spring, cherry blossoms line the lakeside, turning even a simple walk into a memorable experience. It is widely regarded as one of Gyeongju’s most iconic natural attractions.
MCY PARK
This theme park features a variety of installation artworks and photo spots. Highlights include the “School Bus Museum,” which showcases 13 authentic American school buses, each decorated with a unique theme inspired by U.S. cities such as New York or Seattle; and “Mabang Studio,” a former horse stable transformed into a stylish photo zone. A free shuttle connects the park to major tourist destinations, making it easy to visit even without a car.
Neulbom
This restaurant has been specializing in ssambap (leafy wraps with rice) for over 20 years. Ssambap is a traditional Korean style of eating, where grilled meat, fish, soybean paste jjigae, and various seasoned vegetables are wrapped in lettuce or perilla leaves. To ensure healthy and distinctive flavors, the restaurant makes its own jang—the fermented sauces essential to Korean cuisine. The signature dish is ureong sotbap jeongsik (a hot stone pot rice set with river snails). Other popular options include ureong ssambap served with either beef bulgogi or spicy stir-fried pork.
